What does Practising English Grammar consist of?
Practising English book is an illustrated English grammar book. You`ll find ali of the examples with hundreds of colour illustrations . The book is designed to give leamers of English a basic grammar foundation. It may serve other students as a reference or review tool. This book takes a practical approach. It focus on rules and definitions. In addition, it studies how words work and what they do in sentences.
This book consists of 18 chapters , each on a grammatical topics. You can practise your English with the exercises and tests. Each topic ends with an exercise called WRITE, the purpose of which is to develop the student`s ability and to leam the topics well. There are tests at the end of each chapter.You can do a test after you have worked through a group of units. Tests provide two things. Firstly, you`ll find out whether you have overlooked the grammar. Secondly, the tests provide you practice in the exam questions.
How do you work this book?
It`s usually more effective to look at the examples of each unit rather than to read the statements. Each topic of Practising English Grammar has an explanatory section in which students are led to an understanding of the structure of English pattems and are given practice in leaming them. The material is presented in an easy, step-by-step format.
As the leamer moves through the book, he or she will gain an understanding of the basic principles of the English language. These principles are laid out simply but thoroughly, and each new principle builds on what the student leamed earlier in the book.
